Biography

Henry A. (Hal) Reniger, III is an independent Retirement and Estate Planning specialist who uses a holistic approach of developing an individualized comprehensive financial strategy for each client that will evolve with his/her unique needs as they move through life’s stages.

Hal specializes in common-sense areas of Estate and Retirement Planning often ignored by ‘financial planners’, including Tax-Qualified pension programs, non-Qualified Deferred Compensation strategies; Business Succession; Tax-Favored Estate Planning; and Charitable Planned Giving. In addition, Hal is qualified to discuss Long Term Care Insurance, including the California Partnership plan.

Hal is proudly independent and works for his clients, not an insurance company or a securities brokerage house. Because Hal is independent, he is not tied exclusively to any one service provider, unlike others who are captive agents or employees: He is free to investigate and recommend any blend of companies and services that meet the needs of his clients.

When he had a ‘real’ job prior to 1993, Hal enjoyed a successful career of nearly 20 years in Management positions with manufacturing companies ranging from Fortune 50 to Closely Held private corporations, where he won several national industry awards. His experience includes strategic planning, acquisitions, and start-ups in markets throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

As a measure of Hal’s success, he has been included in several editions of Who’s Who in the West beginning in 1984, at the age of 32. He has published many articles in his areas of expertise, and is authorized to teach state-required continuing education courses for insurance agents, stockbrokers and ‘financial planners’.

Hal’s educational background includes a BS degree from the University of Utah in Advertising and Public Relations, along with a semester at the University of Salzburg (Austria). He belongs to several professional associations, including the CPA-Law Society of Ventura County.

Hal has been married for 33 years and has two sons, ages 27 and 21. Active in community affairs, he belongs to the Simi Sunrise Rotary Club, and donates his services and expertise to the Boys & Girls Club of Simi Valley. Hal is an Eagle Scout, and an alumnus of Sigma Nu Fraternity.
